Women have always been present in the lowrider car scene, but men have usually predetermined their place to be in the passenger seat or posing seductively in front of their cars. Two years ago, Angel and her close friends challenged this outdated thinking by establishing Dueñas Car Club, a space for women who want to drive and work on their own lowrider cars the freedom and support to do so.
